September 1 - Around Diagon Alley [open]
Some places make excuses, they're not hiring, the position's just been filled (there's all those displaced looking for jobs now too, after all), and so on. Others are more explicit about why they'd rather not so much as glance at his qualifications. A bare few at least allow him to put in an application.
Still, he trudges on, though never to the businesses of friends. Not to look for work, anyway. He'll stop by Lily's apothecary for a chat, but not before tucking his papers into his robes.]

September 3 - remus' flat [open granted you know where he lives?]
Normally Remus doesn't terribly mind doing things by hand, but he relies more heavily on his magic when he's feeling unwell. Laid out on his uncomfortable couch in his tiny flat, he is not moving unless absolutely necessary. It's a good time as any to get some reading done.
Should you knock at his door any time before half-blood curfew, you'll hear the locks click open followed by Remus' hoarse voice from the other side of the wall telling you to let yourself in. The list of people who would come to see him on a day like this (and actually bother to knock) is very short, and all of them are either relatives, close friends, or ministry officials he'd have no choice but to let in anyway.]

September 2 - Knockturn Alley [open]
He keeps his head down, for all intents and purposes unnoticeable on his way to the dingy storefront that is his destination. It's an apothecary, and as one can imagine from it's location, the potions and ingredients offered are not strictly above-board. Remus is not here to buy, though, he's here to sell.
And what could Remus be offering of value on this fine day? Why, nothing more than a few vials of werewolf blood, taken at the height of it's potency. It's not something he makes a habit of, only resorting to it when there's little choice, but he's been too long without steady work and expenses are piling. He just needs enough to make it til he has a paycheck again.
Not like it's hurting anyone. It's certainly not legal, but little that happens in Knockturn is. It's a quick process, certainly nowhere near as painful as what he'll go through later that night, and he's out the door with a heavier coin purse than he entered with. Enough to cover the month's rent and perhaps a week of food, if he's very careful.
He makes his way out from Knockturn the same way he came in. Casually, trying to keep as unnoticeable as possible.]
