But then, he's also a registered werewolf, and that makes him more notable.]
Is there something to accuse you of, Mr. Lupin?
[The moon will be full that night, he thinks. Remus must be in an interesting mood from that. For a moment he considers attempting charm - they are supposed to cultivate more to the Ministry's side, in this time when minority opposition is growing more vocal, but then...even clearly poor and without resources, Lupin isn't likely to fall for it. No, there are better candidates.]

Not as such, so if you have no business with me, I'll be on my way. I have errands that must be finished before nightfall, I'm sure you understand.
[It's not a tactic he prefers, but reminding people of the imminent transformation is usually enough for them to leave him alone.]

I daresay you do. No, I would not want to keep you out too late, Mr. Lupin.
[ All sorts of trouble with that, after all, and Lucius suspects he'd find it only briefly amusing. ]

He inclines his head in what could pass for a polite farewell, and the fact that it felt like he had to get permission to dismiss himself curls bitter in his gut. He shouldn't have to feel that way, but he's all too aware the ease with which someone like Lucius could make his life hell just for a bit of rudeness in the street. He wouldn't even have to lift a finger.]
Good day, Mr. Malfoy.
