Well, so long as no one tries to drag him off to the Ministry, anyway.
Remus isn't the face he's expecting to see, but when he nearly bumps into the (much too) young man, Ron stops and does a literal double take.]
Prof-- [He stops mid-word, reminds himself that obviously Remus is not a professor--] Lupin?

He recalls back to a miavi conversation with a displaced person, one who'd told him they'd known him as a professor at Hogwarts. There's not a lot of other words that come to mind for what the wizard had been about to say, and his looks peg him as a Weasley pretty quickly, so it's not a difficult conclusion to come to... he's displaced, probably one of Bill's younger brothers.
He smiles tiredly, nodding. If Ron's not aware of the current phase of the moon, the dark circles under Remus' eyes might be a hint.] That's me. I'm afraid I don't know your name, though?

It's Ron. Er, Ron Weasley. I'm...Merlin I don't know how to explain it, this whole thing is...
[He trails off and shakes his head.] I know you, where I'm from. You're usually old, though. Older, I mean. [Excellent save.]
OKAY THIS IS TAKING PLACE ON THE 2ND NOW BECAUSE I'M A DUMMY WHOOPS
You're one of the Displaced. [It's in the Prophet, Ron, everyone knows there's something funky going on with time travel.] I spoke with someone earlier who mentioned you by name, actually. A Hermione Granger.
[A pause.] I've also spoken with one of your older brother's, a few days past. Bill. He's also Displaced.
YOU GOT IT DUDE
How much earlier? Where'd you find her? Was she okay?
[Oh yeah, he adds as an afterthought (sorry Bill):] I've seen Bill already, I know he's not - blimey, ten.

Just a few hours ago. She's only just arrived, I believe, as she didn't know about the Displacement. She ran out from Knockturn Alley. [And what were you doing near there, Remus?] She seemed fine, if understandably confused, and asked for directions to a library or book shop. I suggested she head to McKinnon's Rare Manuscripts, she may still be there.

[Fortunately for Remus, Ron's entire brain is taken up with a refrain of find Hermione; maybe later he'll wonder what Lupin was doing about Knockturn Alley. He doesn't seem the sort to enjoy hanging about there. Once Remus explains, though, Ron let's out a chocked laugh.]
A bookstore, really? Bet she asked for a library, didn't she?
no subject
She did.
[He eyes a nearby clock, shifting from one foot to the other anxiously. It's getting late, and he still has things to do before nightfall, and not just because of curfew. He's spent too much time having serendipitous meetings today.]
I think she headed that way, you may run into her if you look. My apologies, but I really need to be going. I'm easy to find on m.i.a.v.i., if you'd like to talk more another time.

He shakes his head, a quiet laugh stuck in his throat. Hermione is here, and she must be fine because she wanted to go to a library. Bloody hell but he's relieved. That's obviously why he doesn't cotton onto Lupin's impatience faster.]
What - oh, yeah. Yeah, I would - are you all right? [He lifts his hand, like he's starting to reach out, but - well, Remus is a stranger now, and that's a bit weird, isn't it?]
no subject
Remus seems almost surprised at the question, but-- well, he really does look awful today, and he knows it. He brushes off the concern, maybe a little brusquely.] I'm fine, thank you. I really can't stay and chat any longer. It was nice meeting you.
no subject
The brusqueness surprises Ron for all of a second before he reminds himself that young-adult-Lupin doesn't know him at all and Ron would probably by ruder if he was in the same position.]
Sure. I'll talk to you later, then.
[And when he eventually realizes what moon phase he stepped into in 1980, he will realize just what a dope he was. Would bringing chocolate be weird? Ah whatever, he'll figure it out later. For now he just waves, a touch awkwardly, and parts ways with Remus: he's got people to find.]
