Welcome to Petia Parkinson's Hallowe'en party! Everyone is invited, no matter their blood status. It's a masquerade, which means costume or no, everyone is expected to wear a mask at all times. It's an extravagant mixture of wizarding and muggle traditions, including getting candy offered to you when you arrive to a section of the gardens cordoned off into a haunted house—complete with real ghouls. There's a food and punch setup inside with both spiked and non depending on your pleasure, decorations everywhere, a live band playing, and people moving in and out through the night. For those on curfew there are security wizards to make sure they get home safely before curfew and should curfew pass, there are places for them to sleep it off. Have a fun, safe time, and try not to get too scared!

There are certain expectations of Lucius Malfoy at a party, and just to tweak those slightly, he's shown up at Petia's in head-to-toe dark red instead of his usual black, with a silver and black mask covering half his face and a simple spell rendering his hair not quite Malfoy blond. It's likely that it doesn't work. He puts in expected appearances often enough to be recognized by the crowd that shows themselves at these kinds of parties.

It's Petia's party, though, which means he expects the guest list is a bit broader than most of the Parkinsons might like.

At any rate, as the evening has worn on, Lucius has wandered into the garden, ostensibly to look for Alecto - since he escorted her - or to see if either Rabastan or Bella are about. None of them, he thinks, are especially social types. They're not going to be dancing with the likes of Marlene McKinnon or Lily Evans in the center of things.
