WHO Albus Potter, Scorpius Malfoy, and Louis Weasley (Closed)
WHAT Checking out the 80's in Muggle London
WHEN September 7, 1980
WHERE Carnaby Street and other places around London
WARNING PG-13
STATUS In Progress
It was such a relief to escape from Malfoy Manor, Diagon Alley, and the rest of the Wizarding World. Albus felt more at home on the streets of London than he had since he first arrived in the past. He hadn't realized how much the muggle world and the wizarding world back home had been integrated. True, there was still the Secrecy and he couldn't use his magic where muggles could see, but muggle fashion, music, and even technology were becoming far more popular in his time than ever before. Being thrust into the past made him realize how segregated the two worlds were in this time. It only heightened the anxiety of constantly looking over his shoulder.
Abba drifted out of one of the shop doors. Albus instantly recognized the song and couldn't help but hum along. Out here, he could pretend he was just another seventeen year-old spending his afternoon shopping. He needed a dose of normal after the week he was having - the never ending week. The only hitch in his plan was money. The Galleons he had kept from when he arrived weren't going to be worth much in a muggle store. He entertained the idea of visiting Gringotts to exchange his coins but he hesitated, not certain if the goblins were going to question why he needed muggle currency in the first place. He ran his idea past Scorpius and left it up to his best mate to choose the best plan of action. Scorpius was better at the fine details, anyway. Worst case scenario was that they would window shop, which was perfectly fine with Albus. He needed a vacation and this was the next best thing.
"So, where to first, lads?" he asked, grinning at Scorpius and Louis. "Clothes or music? Really the most important decision in life."
